Iced London Fog

Beautifully floral and refreshing, Iced London Fog is the cold version of the popular tea latte in cafes and coffee shops. Strong Earl Grey tea is topped with vanilla cold foam. This is a favorite during warmer weather!
London Fog Latte, sometimes called Earl Grey Latte, is something I first had when I was in college. It was a lovely treat and a drink I will always remember for its aroma and cozy vibes on a chilly Texas morning.
Just recently, I discovered this latte as a summer weather drink. Just pour it over ice. Duh! I saw someone do it on social media and thought it was genius.
It's important to make a strong brew since ice and cold foam will dilute it. Two tea bags in 8 ounces of hot water is perfect. To quickly cool down the tea, add it to a shaker filled with ice and shake for a few seconds. It's such an easy trick to get cold tea.

This vanilla-scented cold foam follows a 3-1-1 ratio: 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 1 tablespoon milk, and 1 teaspoon sweetener. A smidge of vanilla extract adds a nice touch. A milk frother makes quick work of the ingredients. Less than 1 minute and you have cold foam!

Lessons Learned
- I think the best sweetener for tea, hot or iced, is a homemade simple syrup (I like sugar-free).
- Need this to be decaf? I hear you, friend! This is great with either regular or decaf Earl Grey! The important thing is to use two tea bags so the tea is strong enough to stand up to ice and cold foam.
- Looking for the traditional hot version? Try my Earl Grey Latte (with or without gin!).
