Description

Beautifully floral and refreshing, Iced London Fog is the cold version of the popular tea latte in cafes and coffee shops. Strong Earl Grey tea is topped with vanilla cold foam. This is a favorite during warmer weather!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 8 ounces boiling water
  • Ice cubes
  • 3 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream, regular or non-dairy
  • 1 Tablespoon milk, any kind
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener, any kind (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the tea bags and water in a mug. Cover and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags. Let cool to room temp. This can be made ahead and refrigerated.
  2. To cool off the tea quickly, add 3 to 4 ice cubes to a shaker, add the hot tea, and shake for 20 seconds. Immediately strain the tea into a glass. Voila! The tea is cooled.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour in the cooled tea.
  4. Tip the whipping cream, milk, sweetener (if using), and vanilla into a tall mug or shaker. Whisk with a handheld frother until creamy and slightly thickened.
  5. Pour or spoon the mixture over the iced tea.
