Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing

While you can certainly purchase bottled dressing (I do as well on occasion), Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing tastes far superior and is surprisingly easy to make!

Traditionally, a Caesar dressing includes raw egg, but I’m opting for mayonnaise instead. This way, the dressing keeps a little longer with less chance of spoilage.
Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce add some tangy and umami notes, while garlic and lemon juice bring major flavor! Finely shredded Parmesan brings extra body and savoriness. Everything gets stirred together in a large measuring cup.
It’s really that easy!

The result? A creamy, dreamy Caesar dressing that is garlicky and delicious!
Lessons Learned
- Many Caesar dressings include anchovy filets or anchovy paste. That is also delicious! If you want to add that here, smush 2 or 3 anchovy filets (or add 1 teaspoon paste) to the ingredients and mix.
- If the dressing is too thick for your liking, add a teaspoon of water to thin it out.
- This also makes an excellent dip for cut fresh veggies or chips!
Hat Tips
Many thanks to Love & Lemons for their recipe. I made some tiny adjustments for my taste.
