Description

Smooth and sweet, Simple Syrup is a liquid sweetener that blends easily into cocktails, mocktails, and coffee drinks. Made from just granulated sweetener (either sugar or sugar alternative) and water, it comes together in just a few minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (white or brown) or alternative granulated sweetener (I use monkfruit with allulose blend)

Instructions

  1. Tip the water into a small saucepan and bring to boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and slowly pour in sugar or alternative sweetener, stirring constantly. Continue to stir until the granules are completely dissolved and the syrup is clear.
  3. Cool slightly, then transfer to a jar. Cover and store in the fridge for up to one month.

Notes

* To make Rich Simple Syrup, just double the amount of sweetener only and follow the recipe as written. This will give you a syrup that is sweeter and lends a nice mouthfeel to cocktails or coffee drinks.
