Description

Rich and creamy, Date Shake is made with real food ingredients! Thick Greek yogurt, Medjool dates, real maple syrup, and almond milk. A little vanilla and a pinch of salt round things out for a delicious treat. Plus, you get to control the sweetness level!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt (like Fage brand)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Garnish: ground cinnamon

Instructions

Stir the yogurt to loosen it, then spoon into a silicone ice cube tray. Level off the top. Then, pour 1/2 cup almond milk into the same silicone ice cube tray. Depending on the size and shape of your tray, you may need another tray. Place on a flat surface in the freezer and freeze for 4 hours or until completely frozen.

To make the shake, remove the frozen yogurt cubes and frozen almond milk from the trays and place in a blender. Add the pitted dates, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt. Tip in 1/4 cup almond milk. Blitz for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides and add additional 1/4 cup milk if the shake is too thick. Blitz again until combined.

Spoon the shake into a glass. Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy with a spoon or fat straw. Makes one 12-ounce shake or two 6-ounce shakes.
