A warm, low-alcohol cocktail that tastes like apple pie with ice cream? Yes, please! Hot Apple Cider with Bourbon includes a splash of bourbon whiskey and Licor 43. It's topped with frothy whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. 


Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 ounce Bourbon whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce Licor 43
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Garnish: ground cinnamon

Instructions

Tip the apple cider, Bourbon, and Licor 43 into a heatproof mug. Heat in a microwave until hot, around 1 1/2 minutes. Alternatively, pour everything into a small saucepan and heat on stove top until hot, then pour into a mug.

Pour the heavy cream into a small mug. Froth with a handheld milk frother until loosely whipped, about two or three pulses with the frother. 

Carefully pour the whipped cream over the hot apple cider. Dust the top with ground cinnamon and enjoy.
